As one gets older there seems to be aches and pains that develop and I didn't want to accept that my knees and hips need to be sore from sitting. My daughter had been encouraging me to do some kind of weight training. In January of 2016 I signed up for my first kettlebell session -- that was all it took and now I have done 5 different sessions. I love the 1/2 hour classes they fit into my busy teacher schedule and the bonus of twice a week helps me so much. I find that I am much stronger and the aches are much less! Both my chiropractor and massage therapist have commented on how much stronger I am. Badur is very encouraging and challenges us. His sense of humour makes the classes very enjoyable. I have taken a few fitness classes this summer and I have been able to keep up with the instructor and I feel it is because of the kettlebell classes I have taken and the strengthening that has occurred. I signed up for the Agatsu Kettlebell class to improve my functional fitness and to help counteract the effects of my sedentary job. I'm in my third round of kettlebell classes and I've noticed a considerable increase in my overall strength, power, and stamina, along with increased muscle definition. There is also a significant cardio component to this class that has helped improve my endurance during other aerobic sports like running and cycling. I’m looking forward to skiing this winter to see how cross-training with kettlebells has improved my performance.
